Québec is looking forward to the winter season with 40% extra capacity on flights from British Airways and the 75th anniversary of the number one ski resort in Eastern North America – Tremblant.
Tremblant celebrates 75 years!
For its 75th season, Tremblant is offering many discounts on its season passes, including the children’s pass for Quebec1314aonly $75 (Approx £48) if purchased before 24th September (6 to 12 year-olds), which is cheaper than buying 2 standard day passes! Other offers will be launched in autumn to mark the anniversary.
Celebrations will start at the beginning of the season, but will peak the week of February 8, 2014 to highlight the official opening of the ski area that took place on February 12, 1939, with a programme of festivities, entertainment, special guests and fun.

Mont-Sainte-Anne to open a new lift
Mont-Sainte-Anne will have a new detachable quad chair which will reduce the ride time in half and it will serve more skiable terrain. This lift, which will replace the current triple chair lift, will follow a modified path to provide access to the entire mountain not just the expert area.

Mont-Sainte-Anne, just half an hour from downtown Québec City offers skiers the chance to enjoy the unique view of the St. Lawrence River and Québec City. The skiable terrain includes 67 trails, 19 of which remain floodlit for night skiing, and 4 snow parks spread across 3 sides of the mountain. Québec is more than ski
Montréal and Québec City are both great cities to visit in winter each with major winter festivals and either a snow village or ice hotel.

Montréal has three main festivals during winter Igloofest – a winter electronic music festival; Fete des neiges – celebrating the snow; and the Highlights Festival – a food and culture festival. Go Ice Fishing in the Old Port, enjoy guided snow tours, various winter activities on Mont Royal overlooking the city and visit the Snow Village with ice hotel, restaurant, ice chapel and bar.
