A team of six delegates representing Salt Lake City, Utah’s desert Southwest and the best of the Rocky Mountains will be at World Travel Market this year to support the development of new and expanded product following a successful year for the Utah Office of Tourism working with the UK travel industry.

Patti Denny, Manager, Travel Trade Program, says: “This has been a strong year for Utah in the UK. A number of our business partners have enjoyed stronger bookings to Utah and we feel the state is really benefitting from the work and partnerships we have built with operators including TrekAmerica, Black Tomato,Tui, Bon Voyage, Thomas Cook, Ski Safari, US Airtours and America As You Like It. They have created new and engaging inventory in the UK and successfully promoted it to UK travellers. We are also delighted by the new Gatwick route BA is launching into Las Vegas – the gateway to southern Utah’s five spectacular national parks. ”

NEWS 2012-13

Salt Lake City continues to be a major marketing focus for 2012. It is a thriving urban, chic and diverse gathering place and has undergone a $2 billion renaissance, highlighted by the new City Creek Centre featuring 90 top end shops, 20 new restaurants and two new museums. http://www.citycreekliving.com.

Coming soon …The new ten-minute light-rail ride Air TRAX will link City Creek downtown directly with Salt Lake City International Airport, at an investment of up to $290m. Recent designation of National Scenic Byway 143 makes it the perfect route from Las Vegas to National Scenic Byway 12, with views of National Parks, State Parks, national monuments and several area activities, events and festivals.
